Expression Profiles: How do I find gene expression data from a publication?
Start by going to the menu item "Expression Profiles" in the "Expression Data" section of main menu.
You will see a search form field - enter the gene name, e.g. "katG" (or Rv number, or other term):

After you click the Search button, you will see a list of publications from matching experiments.
Click the link below the publication abstract:
That will open a new window with clustered results of gene expression experiments:
Columns in the heat map image represent expression values for different samples. The rows represent genes and are arranged in order of similarity in expression profiles. Move your mouse over elements to see more information in the geneXplorer window at the top.
By clicking on the blue link of a gene name next to a cluster image row, will take you to a Gene Details page where you can access more information about this gene.

By clicking on a cluster image row, a new image will be drawn for 20 most correlated and anticorrelated genes each, with the gene you clicked on will be placed at top.

The genes with expression patterns similar and dissimilar to the gene of interest are presented in an ordered list. The length of the orange bar or grey bar to the right of the expression data indicates the magnitude of the correlation value. Orange bars represent positive correlation values and grey bars represent negative correlation values. By mouseovering on these orange or grey bars will display the correlation values in text box on top
